The Affair / A famous Fling
June 1999, BB had a s*xu*l encounter with a model in a broom cupboard at a Japanese restaurant in London, while he's wife was heading to hospital, with what she believed to be labour pains.
February 2007, a mag asked me to create fashionable pictures to illustrate an article about Infidelity. Based on an article by BBC News (Becker tells of famous fling), I casted models, to find a pair, who would be able to show the emotions I was looking for.
What happened? why did it happen? how did it happen? how to illustrate such a topic ? were some of the main questions to come up.
The answers I got were very varied, depending on factors such as the age of the models, their cultural background, their religious opinions and so on. On this page, you will find an essay to translate all this in pictures (freely inspired "Beckers famous fling" BBC News 04Nov03)
Why Polaroids :
There are many similarities between Polaroids and an Affair. Polaroids are about the instant result. In a few minutes, something happens and cannot be changed any more. You can slightly alter the result by some interventions, such as manipulating the SX-70 polaroids. When using 665 Polaroids, you got a positive and a negative, which gives you some options in the lab. You see the real final effect only after a few weeks or month, when the chemicals settled.
Why legs only :
When having a quicky, the brain seems to slip down, below the belt. No need to show the upper body or the face.
Why shoes :
Shoes are more and more becoming the ultimate weapon serving seduction. You can wear a very classical wardrobe, shoes will make the difference. The sound of the high heels are tuned to perfection to seduce. The color of the tread sends messages by blinking or not, when walking. Shoes alter the way you are seducing.
